A spectacular classical concert heralded the New Year in the city of Montbéliard, eastern France, where an audience of 6400 at the Axone theatre enjoyed the Victor Hugo Franche-Comté Philharmonic Orchestra playing music from Holst’s The Planets, John Williams’ music to the Star Wars film franchise and pieces by William Russo which linked the orchestra with a blues band. Katy Perry’s “Witness World Tour” began in the fall of 2017 and continues on through 2018 with shows happening from Texas and Nevada to the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia before heading internationally through summer. Front of house engineer Toby Francis (CLAIR Global Los Angeles) is mixing on a Yamaha RIVAGE PM10 Digital Audio Console. CLAIR Global is providing production for the “Witness World Tour.”

AMG Performance Center, Kyobashi by YANASE & Co., LTD.

AMG Performance Center, Kyobashi was opened in October 2017 by YANASE CO., LTD., one of the most traditional import-car dealers in Japan since 1915. Yamaha VXS5 and VXS5W surface-mount speakers, a VXS10ST subwoofer, and a PA2120 power amplifier were installed to deliver sound throughout the showroom. We spoke to Mr. Noriyoshi Aoyama, supervisor at the AMG Performance Center, and Mr. Takashi Okada, sound designer and planner with Master Mind Productions, Inc. the company commissioned to produce the audio installation.
