High Pressure? With Yamaha RIVAGE PM7, It’s Only In The Weather

As much of western Europe has basked in high summer temperatures, many thousands of happy revellers have been enjoying the annual crop of outdoor festivals. Sound engineers lucky enough to be using Yamaha’s RIVAGE PM7 digital mixing system at these events have been very happy too. Leading German front of house engineer Olli Voges explains how the new system ensured that the only high pressure he’s experienced has been in the weather!

His legacy is kept alive by singer Gianmarco Carroccia who, in late April, marked the anniversary with a live performance of 30 of Battisti’s best-known songs. Yamaha PM7: Antidote For Poison Tour

Front of house engineer Mark Woodcock has used the Yamaha RIVAGE PM10 Digital Audio Console on several tours, and now, the current Poison “Nothing But A Good Time” tour is his second gig using the new RIVAGE PM7 Digital Audio Console. “I had the PM7 out earlier in the year on a Bush run,” states Woodcock. “Initially, CLAIR GLOBAL asked if I wanted to try it, and I did about 20 dates with Bush and just loved it. That was the first time mixing a full band going through it, and it was awesome. Now, out with Poison, I asked CLAIR to hold the setup I had on Bush to use for the Poison tour.”
